Passenger vehicles in Vietnam must comply with Euro 5(V) emissions standards, while diesel and other heavy-duty vehicles must comply with Euro 4(IV). 2 and 3 wheeled motorcycles and other vehicles are required to comply with either Euro 2(II) or 3(III). The nation plans to adopt Euro VI standards for all vehicle classes by 2024.
